The Homeplace
GLENDALE
The Space
This historic treasure dates back to the late eighteenth century and was one of the first settlements in Glendale. Glendale is a small farming town passed through by millions each year. This extraordinary piece of history has been a beacon to travelers for over a century. The beautiful gardens, orchards, and farm animals have provided for countless families. The harvest season is figuratively and literally never-ending at The Homeplace. It continues to give freely to travelers worldwide.
Two king bedrooms make this home ideal for adult couples seeking solace. With five beds total and two full bathrooms, families can enjoy the space as well. Three acres of pasture, gardens, and mature orchards provide privacy and beauty for a true “country-feel.”
What our Guests Say About The Homeplace
The location was great for going over to Zion and then Bryce Canyon Parks. The place itself was very charming and cozy. The fireplace (and firewood provided by the host) was a perfect touch for when a snowstorm moved in. Make sure to pick up any groceries that you need on the way in, as the closest grocery store is a few miles away. The hosts were fantastic, stopping by with extra firewood and to plow the driveway after we got a foot of snow. Overall, it is a fantastic place to stay.
Cute little house in Glendale! Beautiful aspen trees around the home- and in the fall they are bright yellow. Home was quaint and a great refuge after a week of camping. The remodeled bathroom was great with very hot water. It is quite close to the highway as noted in the description- this does not change my five star review! Just a note for those with dogs. We are also extremely appreciative for a comfortable home we could bring our dogs to. We hiked Zion and Bryce and rented UTVs for our stay in Glendale so this house was perfect for our needs!
Great location, very serene surroundings! Set amidst a farm, you have Apple and Pear trees all around, horses grazing in the neighborhood and a small pond in the front yard. Even during a short rainstorm, we could enjoy a beautiful double rainbow from the front yard! Great way to get away from the world, and make day trips to Zion, Bryce and Page (Antelope). And Betty is a very nice, responsive host. The only thing I would say is that if you have kids like us, then be careful in the area between the living room and dining room where the old chimney sits and has sharp corners in a small space that cannot be avoided. Also, given that this is a very small town, there are no grocery stores or restaurants, so you just have to prep for your meals and trips a bit ahead of time. We definitely enjoyed our stay here. Will definitely come back again!
